MAD has entered an online competition called Indiya Shine Awards, that identifies new and promising organizations in India and promotes them in their Magazine “Little India” which is the largest overseas Indian Publication. MAD- Make a Difference is an Organization of young people working amongst orphans and other underprivileged kids to provide them with quality education
If you have ever got an opportunity to interact with their volunteers or children and if they have touched your life in any way, do take 2 mins and write a two line review about them here
http://greatnonprofits.org/reviews/make-a-difference
It would help create awareness about their work and raise some funds for their activities in India. If you have the time, do check out our blog: www.makeadiff.in/blog to a sneak peak on what’s going on in MAD
I am sure you will be thinking of starting a MAD chapter in GEC after reading about them.

MAD is one of the very few organizations which is truely effective. I hope they win all the awards possible!
Some months ago I contacted MAD to join them. But they said they have no chapter here in Idukki. Idukki is one of the most under privileged districts in Kerala. A lot of kids are here who need help. It would be great if MAD opens a chapter here. I will put my best effort if anything from my part is needed.
Thanks a lot Anand. That coming from an accomplised blogger like you is really an honour. Sourabh, are you from Idukki? Would you be interested in teaching children there? Then do mail me at jithin@makeadiff.in. We will work some thing out. The reason why we said we might not start a chapter in idukki might be because, we know only to teach English, and to do that we need a good number of English speaking volunteers. If you are confident we can get at least 30 good English speaking volunteers from Idukki who would be ready to spend two hours every week for a minimum of one year, then I think we should definitely start a chapter in Idukki.
